Panera x GreenGuru Partnership
About the Partnership
The GreenGuru Project has formed a strategic partnership with Panera Bread through their innovative Day-End Dough Nation program. This collaboration represents a significant step forward in addressing food waste while simultaneously supporting vulnerable communities across the nation.
How It Works
Every week, participating Panera locations donate their unsold baked goods that would otherwise go to waste. These high-quality items include artisan breads, pastries, bagels, and other baked products that are still fresh and nutritious but cannot be sold the following day due to Panera's commitment to freshness.
Distribution Network
Our dedicated volunteers and partner organizations collect these donations and distribute them to:

Community Benefits
Beyond environmental benefits, this initiative provides tangible support to communities nationwide. The donated baked goods help stretch limited food budgets for families, provide nutritious options for shelter residents, and ensure that quality food reaches those who need it most.

Looking Forward
As we continue to grow this partnership, we're exploring additional ways to maximize impact, including expanding to more Panera locations, developing better logistics systems, and creating educational programs about food waste reduction.
This collaboration serves as a model for how businesses and nonprofits can work together to create positive change in both environmental and social spheres.
